For the first time, a majority of MPs have committed to vote for a change in the law to lift the ban on same-sex marriage in England and Wales.
According to the Coalition for Equal Marriage, a grass-roots organisation campaigning for the introduction of same-sex marriage, 330 MPs have confirmed they will vote in favour of same-sex marriage legislation when it is introduced at Westminster in the next few months.

Hi everyone,
Sorry we haven’t posted a latest news item in a while. There’s been a lot going on both online and offline, and day-job gets in the way. We’ve also been doing a lot of arguing, so I thought it was worth putting all the arguments down in one place so that we can show how flawed they all are.

And we’re in the Independent too! in an article named ‘Gay marriage: The fight is on, but who is calling the shots?‘. It was a rather calm piece, and didn’t have nearly as much coverage as we were hoping, given the conversations with the journalist. Take a look anyway, it’s mainly about how shady C4M are, and how they were almost all unavailable for comment. Strange that?

We had an article published in the Huffington Post, and there are some rather interesting comments in the discussion. Go take a look!

In an interview with the Council of Europe, Lynne Featherstone talks about the work towards LGBT equality in the European Union, what we’re doing in the UK, and why the work is still important.

Hi everyone!
So unless you’ve been on Twitter and Facebook you’ll have been missing our chitter chatter about the campaign, so an update on here is long overdue. Sorry about that! Let’s get to it;

James and I have been receiving mail from supporters since day one. They’ve been bittersweet, sad, funny, energising, enlightening, and they’ve kept us going. We want to share some of them with you.

A reporter from my home town of Hebburn picked up on our campaign and got in touch. They’ve posted a piece in the local Gazette and my Mam was straight down the shops!

When we wrote the site we agreed on the tagline “Don’t let bigotry stop two people in love getting married”. We’ve had 17,498 signatures so far and only a handful of complaints about that term. That’s like 0.04% or something. Anyway, I think it’s a valid question. What do you think?

At the time of writing we have 10,258 people signed up to our petition. That’s a lot of people who, we thought, might want a more information about us and the campaign, so we’ve added this new area to the site to post our thoughts, answer any questions and just generally keep you guys up to date. And where better to begin than the beginning, with a little bit of back-story?
